Description
EADESTOWN HOUSE
Eadestown House is a magnificent residence that, through an award-winning design, was completely restored from a ruin. The property incorporates all modern conveniences while still retaining the charm and grandeur of a traditional country home. The true elegance of this residence shines throughout.
The main hall is bright and spacious with a wonderful feature staircase winding its way to the first floor. The light is provided by a large expansive window to the rear of the house. The formal drawing room to the left and dining room to the right are nearly mirror images of each other and offer grandeur to the entrance of this beautiful ground floor. Both rooms have high ceilings, dual elevations and feature fireplaces.
The first floor is well laid out for family purposes with three double rooms. The principal bedroom offers panoramic views over the surrounding countryside and is complete with walk in wardrobe and ensuite. The other two bedrooms also have ensuites with showers. A main bathroom completes this floor.
The second floor offers a further double bedroom, a recreation room which would easily convert into a fifth bedroom and bathroom.
Back down the stairs to the lower ground floor, you will find the kitchen, which is at the heart of the residence, with a very homely atmosphere which embraces traditional elements such as a Stanley Range Cooker. Double doors lead out to the light-filled patio area which is perfect for those summer evenings and BBQs. Across from the kitchen is the family room for everyday relaxing. This room is perfect for the cold winter evenings with its open fireplace. To the rear of the house, and just off the family room, is a magnificent sunroom that would be perfect for reading the Sunday papers throughout the year.
GARDENS & GROUNDS
The house links seamlessly with the gardens and grounds. The gardens are extremely private and secure with electric gates and mature hedging along the boundary to the front and are immaculately landscaped, with several well-placed trees, a water feature and shrubs providing shelter to the residence. The equestrian facilities include a fully enclosed stable block of 5 stables with an access point from the road. There is good access to the grass paddocks and scope to develop more facilities, if needed.
The lands are well sheltered and include some 12.6 Hectares (31.2 Acres) of grazing pasture surrounding the house and the yards. There are good large paddocks with stud railing and excellent boundaries throughout.
