Supporting Our Communities
At Sherry FitzGerald, communities are at the heart of everything we do. Through our nationwide network of offices, we are proud to play a role in helping people find homes and put down roots in towns and cities across Ireland.
Giving back to those communities is an important part of who we are. Through long-standing charity partnerships, local sponsorships, fundraising initiatives and volunteering programmes, our teams support a wide range of causes that make a meaningful difference in the places where we live and work.
From supporting children and families facing difficult circumstances to helping local sports clubs, schools and community organisations thrive, we are committed to creating positive impact and strengthening the communities we serve.
How We Help
Programmes across all our businesses enable our colleagues to take time to support and make a difference with the charities of their choice. We commit to matching funds raised by our staff in support of their own initiatives.
As a nationwide network, we also support community-based projects by working with local clubs, charities and grassroots initiatives. From GAA clubs to mini rugby, soccer, hockey and tennis, to making sure Santa gets to visit at Christmas, and bringing a little extra sparkle to the darker months
Meanwhile, we partner with organisations, charities, and initiatives around Ireland, to help where we can, as much as we can.
Supporting Children at Temple Street Hospital
In 2006 we embarked on a project for Temple Street Children’s Hospital that we have continued ever since. Recognising the need for accommodation in Dublin for families with children in hospital, we purchased and raised funds to buy and refurbish a house close to the hospital. This means we have been able to offer a home away from home to the many families from all over Ireland, during the difficult times when their children are being cared for in Temple Street.
Also at Temple Street, our Annual Christmas Toy Appeal started in 2001 and is always a source of joy, as Sherry FitzGerald staff, family and friends donate toys and food vouchers to be distributed by the medical social workers at the hospital. At a time when gifts can be taken for granted, these toys mean so much to the children who really need them.

Supporting Pieta Through Darkness Into Light
Each year, colleagues across the Sherry FitzGerald network come together to support Darkness Into Light, the annual fundraising event organised by Pieta. From cities, towns and villages across Ireland, our teams join communities in walking from darkness into dawn in support of those affected by suicide and self-harm.
The event is a powerful symbol of hope, connection and community. Through participation, fundraising and awareness-building, our colleagues help support Pieta's vital work while encouraging open conversations around mental health and wellbeing.
We are proud to support this important initiative and the positive impact it continues to have on individuals, families and communities across Ireland.

Give A Day
Giving back to our communities is an important part of who we are. Through our Give A Day programme, colleagues are encouraged to volunteer their time and skills in support of charities, community groups and causes that matter to them.
From environmental projects and local initiatives to charitable organisations and community programmes, our staff are making a positive difference in the communities we serve.
Below are some of the recent initiatives supported through Give A Day.

Supporting Local Communities
As a nationwide network, we are proud to support the communities we serve through a wide range of local sponsorships and partnerships.
Across Ireland, our offices work closely with schools, sports clubs and community organisations, helping to support initiatives that bring people together, encourage participation and strengthen local communities. From grassroots sport and youth development to community events and local projects, these partnerships reflect the deep connections our colleagues have with the places where they live and work.
Whether supporting the next generation of athletes, helping local organisations thrive or contributing to important community initiatives, we believe that even small contributions can make a meaningful difference. Through these partnerships, we are proud to play our part in supporting vibrant, connected and resilient communities across Ireland.
