Once rural farmland associated with the medieval settlement that grew around Nenagh Castle, Tyone has evolved into a well-established residential suburb while retaining a strong sense of community. Its development reflects the natural expansion of Nenagh over the 20th century, transforming open fields into thriving neighbourhoods together with the expansion of Nenagh Hospital, now incorporating the newly constructed Primary Care Premises and St. Conlon’s Nursing Home creating a medical hub in this most attractive neighbourhood. Today, Tyone is particularly renowned for its vibrant local spirit, with amenities and the nearby sporting facilities, including Nenagh Ormond Park and Nenagh Olympic contributing to its appeal as an ideal setting for family life in a town rich in history.

Nenagh has become increasingly popular with homeowners thanks to its excellent quality of life, offering a balance of town amenities and a relaxed pace. Well-regarded schools, recreational facilities, and a strong local economy continue to draw families and professionals alike. The town’s continued growth reflects its reputation as one of the most desirable residential locations in the region.
Ideally positioned just off the M7 motorway, Nenagh provides superb connectivity to Limerick, Dublin, and beyond, making it an excellent choice for commuters.
