Turnover in the development land market, encompassing the Greater Dublin Area and the three regional centres of Cork, Galway and Limerick, surged during the first quarter of 2025 to reach €257 million. This is the highest quarter one level seen since records began in 2015. A total of 23 transactions closed during the quarter, similar to that seen in the corresponding period of 2024. Looking to the remainder of the year, activity in the development land market is expected to remain robust, reflecting various policy measures being introduced by the Government, coupled with lower interest rates.
