Forestalstown - Auction Report

February 2023 - 65.4 acres sold in four lots at the auction recently held in a full auction rooms in Gorey.

Bidding was brisk with Lot 1 (18.28 acres) sold for €220,000. Lot 2 was up next and was the most competitve of all the lots with bidding moving quickly, starting at €300,000 and finishing at €470,000 (€15,862 per acre).

Lot 3 was the smallest of the lots but bidding was not less competitive with the 5.44 acres selling for €105,000 while the final lot (12.08 acres) was unusual as the bidding took place online between two online bidders with James Kinsella dropping the hammer for €240,000. 

With the lots totalled up, the 65.4 acres made way in excess of the asking price, selling for €1,035,000 (€15,835 per acre)
